We have many services and activities for this year's Sukkot & Simchat Torah celebrations, including Family Teas, Arts & Crafts in the Sukkah, Sukkot Environmental Night and a Simchat Torah Procession Party. It all kicks off with our Sukkah Decorating Party on Sunday 13 October.

Sunday 13 October
Sukkah decorating party, 09:45 - 12:45 during morning Orot classes.
Volunteers are needed to cut and/or collect laurel and help build the Sukkah. We would be delighted if after dropping off your children for classes you could spare an hour or so. If you would like to help, please email Rabbi Mark, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Drivers with vans or estate cars will be especially welcome. Please call the Synagogue office on 0208 238 1000 if you have any laurel that we might use. We are always looking for new sources. Gifts of fruit, vegetables and flowers for the Sukkah will be welcomed on Thursday 10 October from 9:30 - 17:00, Friday 11 October from 9:30 - 12:30 and Sunday 13 October from 9:30 - 12:30.

Everyone is welcome and this will be followed by the Erev Sukkot Service at 18:30

Tuesday 15 October:
Climate Change is a Jewish issue - EHRS’s Environment Night during Sukkot, 19:00-21:30 
Join Rabbi Mark, activists for efforts to preserve the environment and prevent climate change from within our EHRS community and the leadership of Eco Synagogue, for an evening of workshops on what we could do this year in our home, work and shul lives to be better environmental citizens. Wednesday 16 October:
Shake it up for Sukkot, 16:30 - 17:30 
Come and join our Rabbis and our Youth Leaders in the Sukkah to enjoy special Sukkot arts and crafts, Lulav waving, Sukkot smoothies and the fun of the festival. Please bring some snacks and fruit to share. Best for pre-schoolers and primary school children.

Sunday 20 October:
Simchat Torah Tea & Procession Preparation Party, 17:30 - 18:30
Join our Rabbis and educators to get your flags and banners ready for our Simchat Torah Hakkafah (procession) in the service that begins at 18:30, with special treats for the happiest festival of the year! For all young people.

Monday 21 October
Simchat Torah Morning Service 10:30
Family Service (all ages) 11:00 (with separate activities for different ages)
